Attestation de datation (dating certificate)
The attestation de datation states a production date and is the document French authorities accept for collection registration. The price is the problem - we found EUR 220 and EUR 60 from credible sources and could not reconcile them.

Build date
States when the car was built. This is the date every import rule is measured from.
What you have to supply
A demanding file: dated photographs of the engine bay, dashboard, chassis plates, brakes, tyres and headlight markings, plus chassis and engine numbers, tyre specifications, signed ID and proof of ownership.
Who can order it
You must attest the car was legally acquired and that chassis, engine, transmission, suspension and bodywork are unmodified.
Limits and gaps
Around 5 per cent of applications are rejected for non-conformities such as an engine swap, and around 30 per cent arrive incomplete. The separate 'birth certificate' at about EUR 30 is described by L'Aventure itself as being just for fun and has no legal value.
Notes
